Broaden your horizons.

Nestled in the Manoa Valley on the Island of Oahu, surrounded by beautiful rainforest covered volcanic mountains, the three acre YWAM Honolulu property offers a family-like atmosphere ideal for Biblical study and personal growth. “To know God and Make God known” is the goal of all YWAM ministries internationally. We do this through training and equipping, community impact, and reaching the unreached with the power of the gospel.

Honolulu is truly a bridge to the nations. An international city with vast cultural and ethnic diversity, as well as urban social and economic needs, it provides excellent opportunities for many types of ministry.

Since 1980 YWAM Honolulu has been training, equipping, and sending thousands of young people from this strategic location to the nations of Asia and the South Pacific including Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and many more. We are committed to doing our part in fulfilling the great commission and taking the gospel where it has yet to go. YWAM Honolulu will strengthen your faith and broaden your horizons.

Aloha!

DID YOU KNOW:
You can snorkel inside a volcanic crater

The clear blue waters of Hanauma Bay exist inside a volcanic cone, creating a pristine marine ecosystem known in Hawaiian as the “Curved Bay.” In the 1800s, Hawaiian royalty used the bay for fishing and recreation, and it’s now a favorite snorkeling spot for tourists and locals alike.

“I never would’ve had this opportunity without the training I received through TESOL.”

A TEACHER’S STORY

Teaching at the classes in Honolulu’s Chinatown placed a face behind the purpose of TESOL. It was impossible for me to sit across our students each week without seeing their story. I listened to mothers who left everything they knew back home to give their children a fresh start. I remember an older man who sat on a bus for hours each week just to come to our class. It was so evident the eagerness each student carried to learn this language with the common goal of obtaining a U.S. Citizenship.

A door opened up for me to build relationships with people who had a completely different background than I do. I know that I never would’ve had the opportunity to meet these students without the training I received through TESOL. It showed me how God can use the skills that He’s given us to bring His people together.
